Cargo Insurances

Three types of insurance coverage are accepted in the international practice:

Institute Cargo Clause A — "All risks"
Institute Cargo Clause B — "Limited Coverage"
Institute Cargo Clause C — "Minimum Coverage" — used for bulk cargo

In case of combined transport (e.g. sea and road), a clause "door to door" can be included. In this case the responsibility of the insurance company spreads over every number or weight unit from the moment it is being taken out of the warehouse in the place of origin to its entry in the warehouse of destination, both specified in the insurance policy.

The insurance policy can provide cover for the whole period of transportation or part of it depending on the type of the deal.
