General Conditions — Cargo Insurance

Flexy Trans will help you for any individual case, however we provide you with the general conditions for insurance of cargo that apply for all kinds of transportation.

The cargo is insured by pieces, parcels, bundles, cases or other regular units and for bulk and liquid bulk cargos by weight units.

The liability of the insurer for each insured numbered or weight unit starts from the moment of loading on the transport vehicle, continues for the whole period of transportation, and ends in the moment of unloading from the transportation vehicle in the place, specified in the insurance policy.

Upon taking out the insurance the Insuarant has to notify the Insurer about the following:

type and weight of the cargo, number of the parcels and the marking, if there is any
type, name, mark, number and identification marks of the transportation vehicle
transportation method for the cargo — open top or covered wagons, trucks, in the hold or on the deck of the vessel
number and date of the bill of lading
start and destination point, transshipment points
insured amount
risks covered under the insurance
